Meet on grass at the end of Hibiscus Avenure, Brooms Head.

Pick up outside the Snak Shak, Brooms Head main beach

This is Hayden's adventurous journey for his grey wolf badge.

It is offering skills in bushwalking, bushcraft and alpine (through tobogganing).
The theme is Hawaiian Pirates. You can come dressed as Hawaiian, a Pirate or both. Participants should wear their scout scarf.

The journey will start at the car park at the end of Hibiscus Ave with everyone meeting there by 2.45pm please. The group will then walk at 3pm the track from the car park to the top of the sand dunes for tobogganing down the dunes.

There are 2 activities planned for the beach area at the bottom of the sand dunes. A compass trail treasure hunt and a build a natural shelter.

After these activities, the group will walk from this beach around the headland via the lookout trail to the main beach where the Snak Shak is located. At the main beach, there will be games and a BBQ dinner offered for those wanting to stay.

We have had to schedule an afternoon time due to tide times and the need to access the beach at the bottom of the sand dunes.

Participants are required to wear their Scout scarf and sun safe hat for all activities. Swimming is available at the main beach only due to blue bottles on the beach at the sand dunes.

You will need for the planned activities:

Backpack
water bottle
shoes
sunscreen
sun hat

For Main beach, please bring swimmers and towel, water shoes are also recommended. There is a lagoon at this beach that offers shallow water snorkelling, so mask and snorkel and flippers are optional.

If you would like to stay for the BBQ, a share plate of food would be appreciated. Please reach out if you would like to come but need transport on the day.
